Bookings are now live for the next ICA Global Conference and General Assembly in Cape Town, the ICA's first General Assembly in Africa from 1st to 5th November 2013. At this important event, cooperators from around the world will turn the Blueprint for a Cooperative Decade into an action plan and will witness the launch of the cooperative movement's global marque. The programme will start with statutory meetings of ICA bodies and then move into the main conference. The theme of the conference is “A Co-operative Decade in Action”.
As well as the statutory meetings there will be a series of themed workshops, including the one on “Access to community services” organized by CICOPA and IHCO, International Health Cooperative Organisation, on 3rd November. In fact, given the present rate of growth of social needs, and the rate at which cooperatives are becoming involved in these activities, community services are thus of vital strategic importance for the whole cooperative movement and the future of this must be planned carefully. The workshop will share the expertise of cooperative around the world in the provision of those services.
For those organisations booking more than ten full fee places, the eleventh delegate’s registration fee will be waived.
