New legislation for cooperatives in Korea
FECOOTRA is a sectoral member of the Cooperative Confederation of the Argentinean Republic - COOPERAR, a member of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA). It presently affiliates 29 worker cooperatives employing 2500 workers and involved in various types of economic activities, such as paper, printing and graphics, ship repair, textiles, chemical industry, crystal, meat refrigeration, etc.

One year ago, FECOOTRA established a union with other worker cooperative federations existing in Argentina, which launched a periodical called ‘Autogestion Argentina’ (Argentinean Self-Management).
FECOOTRA’s president, Jose Orbaiceta, had already taken part in the CICOPA regional seminar in Sao Paulo in early January, where the participating organisations, coming from various South American countries, declared their will to establish a CICOPA regional network among themselves.
