This event, which involved a number of business leaders (such as CEOs from Suez, Danone and Seb), trade unionists (such as the general secretaries of the world confederations of trade unions and the vice president of the European Trade Union Confederation) and retired politicians (such as Jacques Delors and Michel Rocard) was also characterized by a substantial representation of the cooperative movement, with International Cooperative Alliance President Ivano Barberini, who took part in the closing session, and the Quebec Desjardin cooperative group CEO Alban D'Amours.

Javier Salaberria, President of CICOPA made a presentation at a panel on corporate governance, together with Bruno Lebuhotel, President of the Rhone-Alpes Union of Worker Cooperatives. Both of them highlighted the fundamental contribution of worker-members in a cooperative enterprise in terms of corporate governance, enterprise sustainability, decent jobs, and local and regional development.
