#SCIS2023 – The International School for social cooperatives speakers unveiled!

After three years, CICOPA’s Italian member Confcooperative Federsolidarietà is back with a sixth edition of the Social Cooperatives International School (SCIS). The 2023 edition will take place from October 5 until October 8 in Naples, Italy. The event is organised in English and addressed mainly to social cooperatives’ managers.
Programme and speakers unveiled!
This year’s edition will consist of three study visits and three thematic sessions paired with a workshop. Participants will have the chance to learn from some of the most interesting best practices the Naples region has to offer.
We are happy to announce the participation of high level speakers from Italian, European and International institutions during the three thematic sessions:
Session 1 – Social Cooperatives: normative frameworks and best practices in the international context
Speakers:

The SCIS is organised by Confcooperative Federsolidarietà, Italy’s largest federation of social cooperatives, representing over 6250 social cooperatives that count together more than 230 000 workers and 220 000 members. The social cooperative model is a hallmark of the Italian care landscape, providing social services as well as creating work opportunities for 18 000 disadvantaged workers.
Not only in Italy, but also in the whole world, social cooperatives are providing essential services of general interest, often in areas where the government or traditional capitalistic enterprises fail to do so. They are showing an impressive capacity to tackle the challenges and the changes of modern society, all while providing quality care and secure employment.
In recent years, the SCIS has attracted cooperators from all over the world to exchange their views and learn from each other. From 2014 on, more than 250 cooperators from 50 countries around the world met in Naples to learn about social cooperatives and discuss key topics through workshops, study visits, and seminars. Over the years, the school has also contributed to attract the attention of the European and International institutions on the issue of social cooperatives.

Prices: 450€ (VAT included) in double room; 750€ (VAT included) in single room.
Deadline: for registration is on 4th September, early-birds registration completed before 3rd of August have the following reduced rates: 375 € for double room – 600 € for single room (VAT 10% included).
